The AAFA regained the George Stephen Trophy with a 3-0 win against the Midlands AFA at Keith Park. The AAFA was represented by reigning Premier Division champions Echt and took the lead in the opening minutes with a free kick from skipper Alan Douglas. It was Douglas who doubled the Aberdeenshire side’s advantage midway through the second half with a driven shot from 25 yards and striker Paul Presslie scored five minutes from time to seal the victory.
