1st Touch Football Division Three at Inverdee on Saturday 19th March

After a hard fought game the result sees Parkway Thistle still rooted at the bottom of Division Three.

The game started at a slow pace with both teams showing respect for one another. In the first ten minutes most of the play was in midfield with neither keeper having to make a save.

In sixteen minutes Cammachmore’s Haddingham broke out of defence and ran sixty yards before crossing the ball to Ryan Causby whose right foot shot beat keeper McPherson.

Ten minutes later a mix up in the Parkway defence let Cammachmore’s Edmonstone in but Parkway full back Beattie cleared off the line.

A long throw in from Parkway’s Higgins in thirty four minutes was pounced on by Robbie Sinclair who pushed the ball under keeper Gove.

Just before half time Cammachmore’s Ryan Causby put his team into the lead when his shot-cum-cross hit the inside of the post and rolled into the net making the half time score 2-1.

Half-time: 2-1

Cammachmore started the second half pushing forward in numbers and Causby was unlucky not to get his hat-trick when his diving header went over the crossbar.

Parkway’s Sinclair had a chance in front of goal and with only the keeper to beat he put his shot past the post. At the other end Cammachmore’s Gray was sent through the middle and his hurried shot went way over the bar.

With five minutes remaining Parkway’s Steven Sinclair had the ball in the net but was disallowed for offside. No further scoring took place giving Cammachmore the three points.
