Mearns United 5 – 0 Bankhead
Mearns Utd picked up their first trophy since joining the Aberdeenshire AFA two years ago by beating Bankhead in an exciting game.
Mearns went ahead in nineteen minutes when Andrew Beal broke down Bankhead’s defence.
Three minutes later they went two up when from a corner Ryan Crabb‘s shot beat keeper Ross.
Ten minutes before half time they made it 3-0 when Ryan Stuart made a run down the right and beat keeper Ross with a right foot drive.
Half-time: 3-0
In seventy minutes Gavin Lawson added to the score line from close range.
Stuart Scott scored the fifth goal in eighty one minutes giving Mearns Utd a well deserved win in the Barclay Cook Cup final.
