University are the 2025 Barclay Cook Cup champions after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Dee United at Balmoral Stadium.

Dee United struck first in a lively opening half, but University responded quickly with an equaliser to level the tie before the break. The second half saw both sides battle hard, though chances were limited, and tensions peaked late on with University’s Matthew Younger shown a red card in the 90th minute.

With no goals in extra time, the final went to penalties. University held their nerve to win 5–4, with Dee United’s second spot-kick crucially saved. A hard-fought contest, and a well-earned triumph for University! 🏆
