Rothie Rovers are Dickie Trophy Winners

Division Two (East) leaders Rothie Rovers picked up their first silverware of the season when they beat Postal ALC in the Colin’s Tyres Dickie Trophy final. Sandy Raffan (2), Steven Sharp and Jamie Millar scored the goals for Rothie while Neil McDonald and Craig Johnston netted for Postal.

Rothie Rovers lifted the Dickie Trophy following a 4-2 win against Postal ALC at Hillhead. Kincorth will take on Woodside in the final of the Aberdeen FC Trophy after a 2-1 victory against University at the semi-final stage and RGU’s defeat at home to Stoneywood Amateurs in Division One (East) means that Blackburn are promoted to next season’s Premier Division.

Fixtures for 18th and 20th May

With the season moving into the final stages two more cup finals take place next week. Cove Thistle meet Stoneywood Amateurs in the Association Trophy on Wednesday evening at Hillhead, kick-off is 7.15pm. On Friday night Echt play University for the John Todd Memorial Trophy at Heathryfold, kick-off is 7.00pm.

Kincorth Win 2011 North of Scotland Cup

Last year’s beaten finalists Kincorth lifted the North of Scotland Cup for the third time thanks to the free-scoring Mark Hutchins who was awarded the Man of the Match Award for his four goals.

Echt Claim the Premier Trophy

Echt got their name on the Premier League Trophy for the second time in four years. After going a goal down in nine minutes they fought back scoring two goals in the second half. Mark Hutchins got Kincorth’s goal with Frazer Cerretti and Paul Presslie scoring the goals for Echt.

Results for 9th May

Cove Thistle defeated Mearns United 4-0 in the Association Trophy to set up a second cup final meeting of the season with Stoneywood Amateurs. Westdyke denied University the chance to take over the Premier Division lead by winning 3-1 at Hillhead and Burghmuir moved into third place in Division Two (East) with victory over University Colts at Balgownie.

Fixtures for 14th May

Rothie Rovers have the chance to win the Division Two (East) championship this Saturday with a win against McTeagle while Burghmuir will be hoping to maintain their promotion challenge when they travel to face Mugiemoss Youth. In Division Two (North) third placed Kaimhill United visit ARI Thistle and University Strollers, who currently lie in fourth place, are away to Bankhead.

Kincorth lifted the Soccer World North of Scotland Cup at Allan Park on Sunday following a 5-1 win against Nicolls Amateurs. On Saturday, Don Athletic clinched the Division Two (North) championship after victory at ARI Thistle and Stoneywood Amateurs reached the final of the Association Trophy with a 3-2 win against Glendale.

Results for 4th May

Echt lifted the Premier Trophy following a 2-1 win against Kincorth at Hillhead. Woodside reached the final of the Aberdeen FC Trophy with victory over Cove Thistle and Stoneywood Amateurs set up a semi-final meeting with Glendale in the Association Trophy by defeating Nicolls Amateurs. Don Athletic need just one more point to clinch the Division Two (North) title following their draw at Torry United.

General Committee Meeting – 5th May

The next General Committee Meeting will take place on Thursday 5th May. The meeting will be held in the International Lounge in the Richard Donald Stand at Pittodrie Stadium and starts at 7.30pm. All clubs are asked to attend.
