Fixtures for 30th October
Seven North of Scotland Cup first round ties are scheduled this Saturday alongside two Scottish Cup second round replays. In the Aberdeen FC Trophy Cammachmore host Luthermuir and Sportsmans Club visit St Laurence. Rothie Rovers entertain University Colts in the Barclay Cook Cup with a semi-final place at stake. Please note that all games kick-off at 1.30pm.
Glendale 0 – 6 Cove Thistle
Cove Thistle moved into the semi-finals of the White Cup after a comfortable 6-0 win at Glendale. Craig Wilson scored his 24th and 25th goals of the season so far. Mitchell Chalmers, Greg McKenzie, Edward Esson and Mark Stuart were also on the scoresheet.
Results for 23rd October
Nicolls Amateurs made it through to the third round of the Aberdeen FC Trophy with a 4-3 win at Kintore and there were home wins in the Dickie Trophy for Kaimhill United, Kemnay Youth and Rothie Rovers. Don Athletic and Postal ALC booked their places in the last four of the Castle Rovers Cup while Ferryhill eased through to the semi-finals of the Barclay Cook Cup.
Scottish Amateur Cup – Third Round Draw
The draw for the third round of the Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup has been made with ties to be played on or before Saturday 6th November. 24 AAFA sides are already through to the third round with two further sides scheduled to join them this weekend when Glendale XI face McTeagle and MS United take on Newburgh in second round replays.
George Stephen Trophy Re-arranged
The George Stephen Trophy match between the Aberdeenshire AFA and the Midlands AFA will now be played on Tuesday 26th October at Hillhead with a 7.15 kick-off. Reigning Premier Division champions Bon Accord City will represent the AAFA.
Fixtures for 23rd October
Two Scottish Cup second round replays head this weekend’s fixtures as McTeagle host Glendale XI and Newburgh face MS United. In the North of Scotland Cup there are two first round matches, Theologians v Glendale Youth and West End v Halliburton. There are second round ties in the Aberdeen FC, Association and Dickie Trophies as well as a host of league cup quarter-finals.
RGU 1 – 0 Ellon Amateurs
RGU made it three wins from three games in Division One (East) with a 1-0 win against Ellon Amateurs at Garthdee. The only goal of the game came from a Johnny Lynch header after 31 minutes.
Results for 16th October
Glendale defeated Bon-Accord City 4-3 after extra time in the second round of the Association Trophy and Mearns United, Hilton and Lads Club Amateurs also went through. Grammar FPs secured a place in the semi-finals of the Castle Rovers Cup with a 2-1 win against Continental. Johnshaven Athletic moved five points clear in Division Two (East) and Don Athletic did likewise in Division Two (North).
Cammachmore 2 – 4 Bucksburn United
Division One (East) side Bucksburn United left it late to overcome Third Division Cammachmore and progress to the third round of the Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup. Ryan Causby put Cammachmore ahead twice but goals from Stuart Robbie, Allan Gill, Dave Warner and Kevin Wilson saw Bucksburn through to the national third round draw.
University 1 – 1 Old Aberdonians
University will play Echt in the final of the John Todd Memorial Trophy after overcoming Old Aberdonians. The game went to penalties after the teams drew 1-1. Uni’s goalscorer was Kevin Leitch while Euan Wilson got the equaliser for Old Aberdonians.
