Fixtures for 16th October
There is plenty of cup action this Saturday with a semi-final place at stake in the Castle Rovers Cup when Grammar FPs welcome Continental to Rubislaw. RGU will seek to maintain their 100% record in Division One (East) when they host Ellon Amateurs while Don Athletic have the chance to extend their lead in Division Two (North) when they take on ARI Thistle.
Results for 9th October
Fifteen clubs made it through to the third round of the Scottish Amateur Cup while two matches will go to a replay after Kintore and Mintlaw shared eight goals and Luthermuir drew 1-1 with Echt. Kincorth regained the lead in the Premier Division, Great Western United moved clear at the top of Division One (North) with a narrow win at Rattrays XI and Cove Thistle extended their advantage in Division One (East).

Seventeen second round ties in the Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup head the fixture list this weekend. Trophies International and Newburgh meet in the Dickie Trophy, RGU entertain Newmachar United in the White Cup and Northern Hotspurs have the chance to go clear at the top of Division Three when they take on Glentanar Reflex at Balgownie.

This week’s heavy rain put paid to a number of Saturday’s fixtures. In the games which went ahead Cowie Thistle, Newmachar United, Tarves, Blackburn and Westhill all progressed to the third round of the Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup. University are through to the final of the John Todd Memorial Trophy and Johnshaven Athletic moved into pole position in Division Two (East) after a 4-0 win against Huntly Amateurs at Wairds Park.
Kincorth 1- 0 Echt
Jamie Buchan got the only goal of the game to give Kincorth three points in a tight 1st Touch Premier Division encounter on Saturday. The result puts them top of the table, just a point ahead of Woodside and three clear of Cowie Thistle.
Fixtures for 2nd October
Many teams are in action in the second round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday as they battle for a place in the national draw. In the John Todd Memorial Trophy University host Old Aberdonians with the winners taking on Echt in the final. Trophies International play Newburgh in the Dickie Trophy, Great Western Utd entertain Ellon Thistle and Cove Thistle travel to Glendale in other cup ties.
George Stephen Trophy
The George Stephen Trophy match between the Aberdeenshire AFA and the Midlands AFA had to be postponed on Wednesday 29th September due to a waterlogged pitch. The match will be rescheduled – date to be advised.
Results for 25th September
Holders Westdyke progressed to the semi-finals of this season’s Premier Trophy with a 4-1 win against Dyce while Torphins and West End Electrical made it through to the last eight of the Chattan Rovers Cup. Kincorth took over top spot in the Premier Division and wins for Insch and Great Western United allowed them to join Means Utd at the top of Division One (North).
