Johnshaven in Search of New Manager
Following the resignation of their current manager due to personal committments Johnshaven Athletic are urgently seeking a new Manager for the Season 2010 -2011 which starts on Saturday 7th August.
Results for 5th June
Bon-Accord City are the Premier Division champions after they defeated Echt 3-1 in the title decider at Balgownie. Calum Murray put Echt in front on 40 minutes before Bon-Accord equalised through a Darren Redford header early in the second half. Mark Bartlet then put Bon-Accord ahead on 73 minutes and Scott Craig added a third goal to seal the championship win.
Leagues for Season 2010/11
A total of 81 out of the 82 clubs who finished season 2009/10 have re-applied for membership of the Association in season 2010/11. The only club which has not re-applied for membership is Potterton. Five new clubs have applied for membership of the Association and a vote on their applications will be taken at the AGM on Thursday 1st July. The five new applicants are Cruden Bay, JS XI, Northern United, Northern Hotspurs and Parkway Thistle.
Results for 2nd June
Bon-Accord City won 1-0 against Westdyke and will take a one point advantage into Saturday’s title decider against Echt at Balgownie. Great Western United’s stay in the top flight came to an end following their 3-1 defeat at Old Aberdonians who finished in fourth spot to clinch the final place in next season’s John Todd Memorial Trophy.
Rattrays XI Old Crocks Match

Results for 31st May
In the two matches played on Monday evening Sportsmans Club and Kincorth drew 3-3 in their Premier Division encounter at Hazlehead while Rothie Rovers completed their league campaign with a 5-2 win against Trophies International at Beach Park which takes them up to fifth place in the final standings in Division Two (North).
Echt 4 – 3 Westdyke
Super sub Gordon Troup scored two goals as Echt edged out Westdyke in a seven goal thriller on Saturday. The win put Echt two points clear of Bon-Accord City at the top of the Premier Division table but Bon-Accord returned to the top of the table when they defeated Westdyke by a single goal at Balgownie on Wednesday evening. The two title rivals face each other in the final game of the season at Balgownie on Saturday 5th June.
Rattrays XI win the Dickie Trophy
Rattrays XI long serving President Willie Allan was given the honour of picking up the Dickie Trophy after beating Hilton on penalty kicks in an entertaining and exciting game at Hillhead. All the trophies were handed over by AAFA President Jim Napier representing Colin’s Tyres, the sponsors of the competition.
Results for 29th May
Echt are back on top of the Premier Division after their 4-3 win over Westdyke. Cove Thistle were relegated after losing 2-0 to Old Aberdonians. Kincorth picked up a useful three points by winning 4-2 against Cowie Thistle while University and Sportsmans Club played out a scoreless draw. In the day’s other game Bankhead defeated Alford 3-2 in Division Two (East).
Membership Applications for Season 2010/11
Secretaries of all current member clubs are reminded that completed Applications Forms and fees for season 2010/11 must be returned to the Association Secretary by 31st May 2010.
