Results for 16th August

Don Athletic made it four wins out of four in Division Two (North) with a comfortable 7-0 victory at Theologians. In Division Two (East) Burghmuir had a 3-1 win which puts them on top of the table alongside Rothie Rovers who also won. Cammachmore defeated Northen United 5-2 in Division Three while Auchnagatt Barons were 2-1 winners at Parkway Thistle.

Fixtures for 21st August

This season’s cup action, sponsored by Aberdeen Trophy Centre and Colin’s Tyres, gets underway next Saturday with first round ties in most of the local cup competitions. The Aberdeen FC Trophy tie between Premier rivals Sportsmans Club and Echt looks should be a close affair while there’s another all Premier encounter in the Association Trophy with Bon Accord City travelling to Tarves.

Rattrays XI 8 – 1 FC Geldie

Goals galore see Rattrays XI keep up their winning run to go top of 1st Touch Football Division One (North). An own goal had put FC Geldie ahead just seconds into the game but goals from Sean Flett, Pocklington, Forbes, Michie and Smith put them 5-1 ahead at the break. The vistors were much improved in the second half but couldn’t stop the Rattrays goals with two from Jamie Flett and one from Freeland adding to the scoreline.

Results for 14th August

Sportsmans Club, Kincorth, Westdyke and Woodside were all winners in the Premier Division. Rattrays XI and Mearns United both enjoyed comfortable wins in Division One (North). Division One (East) leaders Cove Thistle and Stoneywood Amateurs both won. In Division Two (North) there were wins for Don Athletic and Grammar FPs while Johnshaven were held to a draw in Two (East).

Next week’s midweek games will kick-off at 6.45pm. As usual Divisions Two and Three play on Monday evening and Premier and Firsts onWednesday.

Results for 11th August

Only nine games beat the heavy rain this evening. Woodside went to the top of the Premier table with a 5-2 win against Beacon Rangers while Echt and Tarves also won. In Division One (East) Mearns United and Rattrays XI both won and have two wins out of two. Cove Thistle and Newtonhill served up a fourteen goal thriller with Cove coming out on top and top the table alongside Stoneywood Ams who also won.

Results for 9th August

Johnshaven Athletic continued their good start to the season by picking up three points at Wairds Park against McTeagle to put them top of the table in Division Two (East). Northern United recorded their second successive away win and they lead the way in Division Three alongside JS XI who won 4-3 at Torphins.

Fixtures for 14th August

Ellon Thistle and Mearns United meet at The Meadows in Division One (North) after both recording opening day wins while Hazlehead Utd host West End and Great Western United welcome Stonehaven Athletic to the Woodside Sports Complex. FC Geldie visit Heathryfold to take on Rattrays XI, Banchory entertain MS Utd and Bervie Caley visit Lads Club Amateurs.

Kincorth 6 – 2 Kintore

Newly promoted Kintore found it difficult to cope with a Kincorth team who signed five new players in the close season and appointed Dave Reid as manager. The goals for the home side came from Harris (2), Wood, Robertson, Hutchin and Knox. Donald and Innes got the goals for the visitors.

Results for 7th August

Dyce ITC Hydraulics kicked off their league campaign with a 3-0 win at Echt and there were also top flight victories for Beacon Rangers, Bon-Accord City, Kincorth and Sportsmans Club. Don Athletic edged out Continental by the odd goal in nine in Division Two (North) and JS XI sit top of Division Three after their 5-1 opening day win over Fintray Thistle at Hazlehead.
