Cup Draws made on 5th August
The first cup draws of the new season were made at the Executive Committee Meeting on 5th August. The Aberdeen FC Trophy and the six Divisional Cups have kindly been sponsored by Aberdeen Trophy Centre for the forthcoming season, while Colin’s Tyres are continuing to sponsor the Association Trophy and Dickie Trophy. The Association would like to thank both companies for their support.
Fixtures for 9th and 11th August
The evening fixtures get underway next week with Second and Third Division sides in action on Monday and Premier and First Division teams playing on Wednesday. The Premier Division card includes a meeting of last season’s First Division champions as Beacon Rangers travel to Lochside Park to take on Woodside.
Fixtures for 7th August
The new season gets underway this Saturday with Bon-Accord City starting their defence of the Premier Division title with a trip to Stonehaven to face Cowie Thistle. All five new clubs are in action in Division Three. Cruden Bay face Glentanar Reflex, JS XI host Fintray Thistle, Northern United take on Monymusk and Northern Hotspurs meet Parkway Thistle.
Player Registration Forms
Player Registration Forms can now be downloaded for use by all clubs. If any club secretaries have any queries regarding the completion of the forms, they should contact the Association Secretary.
Johnshaven Manager
Johnshaven Athletic are pleased to announced the appointment of their new manager Pete Williams. He has had several years previous managerial experience in the Montrose Welfare League team MTC. He takes over with immediate effect and the club looks forward to working with him.
Highland Hotel Available for Last Minute Friendly
Highland Hotel AFC are looking for opposition for a pre-season friendly this Saturday (31st July) as our opponents have dropped out at the last minute. Any club interested in a bounce game rather than training should contact Andy on 07772 620107.

General Committee Meeting Dates
The General Committee Meetings dates for season 2010/11 have been announced with the first meeting taking place on Thursday 2nd September. All of the meetings will be held in the International Lounge in the Richard Donald Stand at Pittodrie Stadium and start at 7.30pm.

Derek Golder
The Association was very saddened to learn of the death of Derek Golder who passed away on Wednesday 14th July. Derek was formerly the secretary of Kingseat United and also served on the Executive Committee of the AAFA. His funeral will take place at Aberdeen Crematorium (West Chapel) on Monday 19th July at 1.35pm and all friends are respectfully invited. The Association would like to pass on its sincere condolences to Derek’s family and friends.
