Results for 9th and 10th May
Bon-Accord City reached the final of the Premier Trophy with a 3-2 win against Cowie Thistle and Glendale XI defeated Dyce to make it through to the quarter-finals of the Association Trophy where they will face AC Mill Inn.
Results for 6th to 8th May
Hilton claimed their third trophy of the season with a 4-0 win over Glendale in the Dickie Trophy final on Friday evening. University and Echt both progressed in the Association Trophy on Thursday. On Wednesday Old Aberdonians clinched the Division One (East) title following their 3-1 win against Ferryhill.
Fixtures for 11th to 14th May
The pick of the midweek games next week is the Aberdeen FC Trophy semi final between University and Echt which will be played on Thursday with a 6.45pm kick-off. All other games are league fixtures which will kick-off at 7.00pm with 12 matches on Monday, one on Tuesday and 10 on Wednesday.
Results for 4th and 5th May
In Tuesday evening’s Premier Division games Stoneywood SSC defeated Echt 1-0 and University beat West End 4-1. On Monday Bucksburn United won 2-1 at Newmachar United to go top of Division Two (North). Glendale moved into first place in Division Two (East) following their win against University Strollers while Stoneywood Ams drew with McTeagle.
Hazlehead Utd 3 – 2 Echt
Hazlehead United progressed to their first major final in the amateur ranks following a fine 3-2 victory over Echt in an exciting North of Scotland Amateur Cup semi-final at Heathryfold on Sunday. United went into the game as underdogs but they started confidently and always looked able to cause an upset. It was Nicky Emslie’s 92nd minute winner which saw them through to next Sunday’s final.
Membership Applications and New Player Registration Forms
Secretaries of all current member clubs are reminded that Application Forms and fees for Season 2009/10 must be submitted to the Association Secretary by 31st May 2009. Could all club secretaries also please note that a new style of Player Registration Form will be introduced by the SFA for Season 2009/10.
Fixtures for 8th to 10th May
The final of the Dickie Trophy will be played on Friday 8th May when Hilton take on Glendale at Milton Park, Crathes, kicking off at 6.45pm. Cove’s Allan Park is the venue for the final of the Saltire Fashions North of Scotland Amateur Cup between University and Hazlehead United on Sunday 10th May.
Results for 2nd and 3rd May
Hilton clinched the Division Three title with a 5-1 win over nearest rivals Ellon Amateurs. Hazlehead Utd defeated Echt 3-2 to reach the final of the North of Scotland Amateur Cup where they will meet University next Sunday at Allan Park, Cove. Dyce progressed to the third round of the Association Trophy with a 1-0 win over Kintore. Cowie Thistle defeated University 2-1 in a Premier Trophy quarter-final tie.
University Colts win the Castle Rovers Cup
University Colts edged out Rattrays XI after a penalty shoot to win the Castle Rovers Cup on Thursday evening. In a tight game of few chances neither team could break the deadlock in the 90 minutes or during extra time but it was the Colts who won the shoot out 3-2 to lift the trophy.
Fixtures for 4th to 7th May
Another busy midweek fixture list next week with all league games kicking off at 7pm. Association Trophy cup ties are also scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday with a 6.30pm kick-off.
