Kintore 1 – 5 Old Aberdonians

Old Aberdonians will face Theologians in the White Cup final after beating Kintore in an exciting semi final. In an end-to-end encounter at Strathburn Park Old Aberdonians took their chances, including a hat-trick from Bruce, to seal their win.

Results for 11th April

Dyce, Hazlehead United and University all booked their places in the Saltire Fashions North of Scotland Amateur Cup semi-final draw. Sportsmans Club defeated Bervie Caley 3-1 in the Association Trophy. Division Two (East) leaders Ellon Thistle lost 4-1 at Monymusk and with Glendale and Insch both winning only one point now separates the top three.

Johnshaven Seek New Manager

Johnshaven Athletic are looking for a new manager for Season 2009-2010 as, due to work commitments, their manager has had to resign.

Results for 8th April

The wet weather put paid to many games including the Castle Rovers Cup final. In the games that went ahead Premier Division leaders Cove Thistle defeated Stoneywood SSC 3-1 while Burghmuir upset title contenders Echt by the odd goal in three. In Division One (North) Stonehaven Athletic and Bervie Caley shared the spoils after a 3-3 draw. No games in Division One (East) survived the rain.

Sports Injuries Course

The Constitution of the SAFA requires that, with effect from 1st July 2009, at least one member of each amateur football club shall hold a current Sports Injuries Certificate. Many AAFA clubs have already satisfied this requirement however a number of clubs have yet to do so. They should note that the two day course will be run again in Aberdeen on the 18th and 19th April 2009.

Fixtures for 11th April

The North of Scotland Amateur Cup moves to the quarter-final stage on Saturday. Kincorth take on Premier rivals Echt at Inverdee while Division One (North) sides Dyce and AC Mill Inn are likely to serve up a tight game at Pitmedden Road. In the other quarter-final ties, Hazlehead United entertain Rothie Rovers and University face Postal ALC at Keith Park.

Cove Thistle 2 – 3 Cowie Thistle

A 3-2 victory for Cowie Thistle at Catto Park dented Cove Thistle’s Premier Division title ambitions. Goals from Leith, Fowler and McMillan were enough to see them past the league leaders at Catto Park.

Results for 4th April

Glendale defeated Trophies International 3-2 after extra-time to reach the final of the Dickie Trophy where they will play either Hilton or Mintlaw. The final of the Stephen Shield will be between AC Mill Inn and Sportsmans Club who both won their semi-finals at Strathburn Park. Kintore beat FC Geldie 4-2 after extra-time to make it through to the semi-finals of the White Cup.
