Results for 21st & 23rd February
Echt went out of the Fosters Centenary Scottish Amateur Cup after a narrow 2-1 defeat to holders Eddlewood. RGU progressed to the third round of the Association Trophy and there were also cup wins for Glendale and Bon-Accord City, both after penalty kicks. Trophies International defeated Ellon Amateurs 3-2 to go through to the Chattan Rovers Cup final.
SAFA Centenary Brochure and Dinner
The Scottish Amateur Football Association celebrates its centenary this year. As part of the celebrations a Centenary Dinner was held on the 17th January. A commemorative brochure has also been produced which is now available for you to download.
Fixtures for Saturday 21st and Monday 23rd
Echt take on Eddlewood this Saturday in the sixth round of the Scottish Amateur Cup with Stenhousemuir waiting to host the winners. With the outstanding fixtures piling up Grammar Rovers have agreed to play University at Keith Park on Monday evening in the Association Trophy first round. Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
Another Snow Day for the AAFA
The fixture list fared no better this Saturday with another complete wipeout of the schedule. The long range forecast is much better for the week ahead so we hope to be back with some football next Saturday.
Scottish Amateur Cup – Seventh Round
The draw for the seventh round of the Fosters Centenary Scottish Amateur Cup was made in Hamilton on 12th February. Fixtures for 14th February
Echt are now the AAFA’s only remaining representatives in the Scottish Amateur Cup and they will host holders Eddlewood in the sixth round. MS Utd take on Bervie Caley in the quarter-finals of the Stephen Shield and it’s McTeagle against Halliburton at the same stage of the Barclay Cook Cup. Trophies International and Ellon Amateurs meet in the semi-finals of the Chattan Rovers Cup.

Old Aberdonians 6 – 0 Glendale Youth
Old Aberdonians secured their place in the fourth round of the Saltire Fashions North of Scotland Amateur Cup with a comfortable win against Glendale Youth at Balgownie on Saturday. Two early goals from MacLennan set the home side on their way and second half strikes from Purdon, Wilson, Roper and Fraser sealed the victory.
