Postal ALC Lift the Castle Rovers Cup
After a hard fought game underdogs Postal ALC came from behind to win the Castle Rovers Cup in extra time. Don Athletic led through Neil McCoy before Michael Forrester equalised early in the second half. Extra time goals from Chris Turbine and Neil Summers gave Postal the win.
Fixtures for 13th April
Next week’s mid-week fixtrues features the Barclay Cook Trophy final on Wednesday evening at Hillhead when Westhil meet Kemnay Youth, kicking off at 7.15pm. All other midweek matches kick-off at 6.30pm with games in most divisions on both Monday and Wednesday.

Postal ALC defeated Don Athletic 3-1 after the game went to extra time to lift the Castle Rovers Cup. The leaders of the Premier, Division One (North) and Division One (East) all lost 4-1 as Woodside beat Kincorth at Lochside Park, Nicolls Amateurs defeated Great Western United at the Woodside Sports Complex and Hilton got the better of RGU at Sheddocksley.
Theologians 1 – 5 Grammar FPs
Grammar FPs ran out comfortable winners in this Division Two (North) clash, taking their chances well on a slippery surface. Their goals came from McQuilter, Kydd, Ward, Duncan and MacPherson while Theologians reply was scored by Duncan.

Results for 4th April
Sportsmans Club dropped their first Premier Division points of the season as they went down 2-0 to Woodside. Dyce, Echt and Kintore were also winners in the top league. Insch closed the gap on the Division One (North) leaders with a convincing win and JS XI remain unbeaten in Division Three.
Fixtures for 9th April
The two outstanding North of Scotland Cup quarter final ties are scheduled for this coming Saturday along with two AFC Trophy fourth round and two Association Trophy third round games. MS United against Nicolls Ams in the Stephen Shield quarter final rounds off the cup games. In the Premier Division Sportsmans Club defend their 100% record at home to Cowie Thistle.
Results for 2nd April
Cove Thistle and Nicolls Amateurs booked their places in the semi-finals of the North of Scotland Cup while the other two quarter-final ties fell victim to waterlogged pitches. MS United defeated Beacon on penalties set up a meeting with Glendale in the last eight of the Association Trophy and JS XI made it through to the semi-finals of the Dickie Trophy.
Wearing of Snoods
The Scottish Amateur Football Association has been advised of the decision of the International FA Board to the effect that the wearing of “snoods” or neck scarves by players is prohibited with immediate effect. A copy of the circular which was sent to the SAFA on this issue is available for the information of all clubs.
Torphins win the Chattan Rovers Cup
Over 200 turned up to see Torphins pick up their first Trophy since joining the AAFA two years ago. Keith Allerdyce put Torphins ahead inside the first 10 minutes but Fintray Thistle quickly equalised through a Barry Jamieson goal. Just before the break Steven Travers put Torphins back in front and he scored again 15 minutes from time to seal the win.
