Fixtures for 15th November

The Saltire Fashions North of Scotland Cup second round takes centre stage this Saturday with 25 ties scheduled. There are also three Fosters Centenary Scottish Amateur Cup third round replays. In league action, Kincorth take on Echt in the Soccer World Premier Division and Hilton will be looking to move to the top of Division Three when they host Newburgh.

Results for 8th November

AC Mill Inn and Turriff Thistle booked their places in the fourth round of the Fosters Centenary Scottish Amateur Cup. Cove Thistle, Ellon Thistle and Hilton all progressed in the AFC Trophy. In the Dickie Trophy, McTeagle needed penalties to see off ARI Thistle while Trophies International defeated BSFC. Luthermuir and Stoneywood Amateurs went through to the semi-finals of the Barclay Cook Cup.

Hazlehead United 0 – 3 Hilton

Division Three Hilton gave Division One (East) Hazlehead Utd a hard game on a very heavy pitch and go through to the next round of the competition. The goals came from Stuart in the first-half and second period strikes from Sinclair and Rose.

Fixtures for November 8th

Turriff Thistle and Tarves both travel to Glasgow for Fosters Centenary Scottish Amateur Cup replays this Saturday. Deva Dons host Luthermuir and Stoneywood Amateurs visit Glendale in Barclay Cook Cup quarter-finals, while Glendale XI and Cowie Thistle meet at Stonehaven in the fourth round of the Aberdeen FC Trophy.

Results for 1st November

Five AAFA sides progressed to the fourth round of the Fosters Centenary Scottish Amateur Cup and a further four will be involved in replays this Saturday after their third round ties ended all square. In local cup action, University came from a goal behind to beat Bon-Accord City in the AFC Trophy while Torry United edged out Stoneywood SSC by the odd goal in five in the Association Trophy.

Festive Fixtures

Following a vote at the General Committee Meeting of all clubs on 30th October, it was decided that there will be no AAFA Fixtures on Saturday 3rd January 2009. There will be a full programme of fixtures on Saturday 27th December 2008.

Cowie Thistle 9 – 0 Huntly Amateurs

This first round North of Scotland cup game was played with a gale force wind blowing down the pitch. Huntly’s defence was under pressure from the start of the game, fielding an understrength team with key players missing. Cowie Thistle went 5-0 up inside 16 minutes and from there the result was never in doubt.

Fixtures for November 1st

The third round of the Fosters Centenary Scottish Amateur Cup takes centre stage this Saturday with 28 AAFA clubs entering the national stages. There’s an all Premier Division clash in the Aberdeen FC Trophy as Bon-Accord City host University, while Division Two table-toppers Mugiemoss Youth and Stoneywood Amateurs go head-to-head in what should be a close Dickie Trophy encounter.
