Nicolls Amateurs 1 – 1 MS United
One point separated these two mid table teams prior to kick off and at the end of a well contested game there was no change as it finished 1-1. MS United went ahead early in the second half through Gunn but this was quickly cancelled out by Nicolls’ Ord.
Results for 26th February
Echt defeated Westdyke on penalties to reach the final of the Premier Trophy and there were also semi-final wins for Lads Club Amateurs in the Stephen Shield and Westhill in the Barclay Cook Cup. Torry United and Stonehaven Athletic both progressed to the fourth round of the Aberdeen FC Trophy and Johnshaven Athletic extended their lead at the top of Division Two (East) with victory against Highland Hotel.
Fixtures for 26th February
There’s a top-of-the-table clash in the Premier Division this weekend as leaders Kincorth meet second-placed Cowie Thistle. Insch against Rattrays XI in Division One (North) and RGU v Hilton in Division One (East) also look important in their promotion battles. Westdyke meet Echt in a Premier Trophy semi-final tie and Lads Club Amateurs host Great Western United at the same stage of the Stephen Shield.
RGU 1 – 1 Blackburn
This was one of only four games played in the Aberdeenshire AFA today and second and third placed in Division One (East) clashed, with both teams chasing the points to catch leaders Cove Thistle. First half goals from RGU’s Ian Campbell and Blackburn’s Michael Dunn left the honours even after both keepers had good games.
Results for 19th February
The fixture card was decimated by heavy rain with only four games going ahead. St Laurence defeated Trophies International in the third round of the Dickie Trophy and will now host Portlethen United in the quarter-finals. It was honours even between RGU and Blackburn in their Division One (East) encounter at Kaimhill and Hilton closed the gap on the leaders following their 5-2 win against Ellon Amateurs.
Halliburton 4 – 1 RGU
Despite giving up ground rights to get this game played Halliburton ran out comfortable winners. After Halliburton opened the scoring inside 30 seconds through Kyle Jacques RGU levelled things with a goal from Craig Thain. A fine 30 yard strike from Allan Gebbie and a Nicol Webster brace proved too much for the students in the second half.
Cup Draws made on 17th February
The draws for the fourth round of the Aberdeen FC Trophy and the quarter-finals of the Association Trophy and Dickie Trophy were made at the Executive Committee Meeting on 17th February.
Soccer World North of Scotland Cup – Third Round Draw
The draw for the third round of the Soccer World North of Scotland Amateur Cup was made at the North of Scotland Executive Committee Meeting on Tuesday 15th February.
Fixtures for 19th February
With just three games going ahead on Saturday many fixtures stay the same for next weekend. There are some changes including Glendale v West End in third round of the Association Trophy and Postal ALC v Theologians in the Castle Rovers Cup semi final. JS XI will attempt to keep their unbeaten Division Three record intact when they host Cammachmore.
Results for 12th February
Heavy overnight rain meant that only three matches went ahead on Saturday. Lads Club Amateurs reached the quarter-finals of the Association Trophy with a 4-1 win at Ellon Thistle and Postal ALC beat Cammachmore 4-2 to make it through to the last eight of the Dickie Trophy. Halliburton defeated RGU 4-1 in the only league game to beat the weather.
