University claimed a 3–1 victory over Northstar CFC in the Castle Rovers Cup Final tonight at Balmoral Stadium.

University came flying out of the gates, opening the scoring just seven minutes in to take an early 1–0 lead. They maintained control throughout the first half and doubled their advantage on 40 minutes, heading into the break firmly in charge at 2–0.

Northstar CFC showed real spirit after the restart and clawed their way back into the contest with a goal on 70 minutes, cutting the deficit to 2–1 and giving the final a flicker of tension.

But University had the final say. On 79 minutes, they struck again to restore their two-goal cushion, putting the result beyond doubt and sealing a 3–1 win.

With that, University were crowned Castle Rovers Cup champions for 2026, capping off a composed and clinical performance under the Balmoral lights. ⚽🏆
