Results for 5th December

Bon-Accord City and Old Aberdonians both made it through to the fifth round of the Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup and Luthermuir enjoyed a 3-2 win in their delayed third round tie at Dundonald. Bankhead, Sportmans Club and Westhill all progressed in the North of Scotland Amateur Cup and Rattrays XI won at Hilton to extend their lead in Division Two (North).

Cup Draws made on 3rd December

The draws for the third round of the Aberdeen FC Trophy, the Association Trophy and the Dickie Trophy were made at the Executive Committee meeting on Thursday 3rd December, together with the quarter-final draws for all six divisional cups. The Association and Dickie Trophies have been kindly sponsored by Colin’s One Stop Motor Shop this season.

Fixtures for 5th December

A busy Saturday of cup action sees seven AAFA clubs in the Scottish Amateur Cup fourth round with Cowie Thistle probably facing the toughest task with a trip to Knockentiber. Still at the third round stage are Insch, Lads Club and Luthermuir. In the North of Scotland Cup Burghmuir meet Sportsmans Club and Westhill take on Glendale while there are also plenty of Aberdeen FC Trophy ties on the card.

Results for 28th November

Insch defeated Kintore in the second round of the Scottish Amateur Cup to set up a trip to Dunoon and there were third round victories for Grammar Rovers and Westdyke. Beacon Rangers picked up three points against Torry United to extend their advantage at the top of Division One (North) and Ellon Amateurs are now eight points clear in Division Two (East) after they won 2-1 at Mintlaw.

Fixtures for 28th November

Eight teams are still involved in Scottish Cup second and third round ties. Six of the oustanding North of Scotland Cup second round ties are also scheduled this weekend. In the league Premier leaders Bon Accord City travel to Stonehaven to meet Cowie Thistle while Division One (North) table-toppers Beacon Rangers host Torry Utd.

Results for 21st November

Luthermuir won 4-1 at Glendale Youth in their second round replay in the Fosters Scottish Amateur Cup while Echt and Cowie Thistle booked their places in round four. Portlethen United maintained their two point advantage at the top of Division Three after they beat Cammachmore and nearest challengers Feughside won against Huntly Amateurs.

Newtonhill Speakers Dinner

Newtonhill Football Club will celebrate its 60th Anniversary in 2010. To celebrate the occasion an After Dinner speaker evening has been arranged for Friday 19th March 2010 at the Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel. Speakers for the Evening will be Ex-Manchester Utd, Everton and Northern Ireland International Norman Whiteside along with Ex-Liverpool and England Defender Alan Kennedy.

Fixtures for 21st November

Glendale Youth and Luthermuir try again to play their Scottish Cup 2nd Round Replay. Nine further AAFA clubs will be trying to reach the 4th Round including Westdyke and Sportsmans Club who meet in a replay at Lawsondale. Seventeen North of Scotland 2nd Round ties go ahead while Bankhead and Kemnay Youth meet in their much-delayed 1st Round game.
